(Well mostly done. I've got one slot to go but I'm waiting on the other half. I'll add it in after~)

Apparently I always take a million years to do these, but I keep doing them because I like them and I don't learn.

Sorry for the wait though D: There are gonna be a lot of pictures in this journal. Some of them will be coyotes as advertised (these are near the bottom). Prepare yourselves.

This is one of those characters that there's a ton of thought behind and I really love those :> It was hard to choose which pictures to feature because there are so many good ones haha. I like his affinity for plants c: His backstory from what I've seen of it along with his current-day state are interesting. Visually he has a really great and recognizable design too. _{and I might envy your human drawing abilities a little bit x'D}

I couldn't find a bunch on him :u But he seems interesting! I really like the look of him and of course the species choice of lynx. Lynxes are cool. From the brief description I found it seems like he would have an interesting history too.

SHE's ADORABLE
This was hard actually because I found a lot of cute stuff (Alto and Serp were considerations), but Jane stood out to me :> She's really unique and tell her she has flawless hair please.

Couldn't find a reference for her but I enjoy her attitude, and it comes across in her facial expressions and the quotes quite well~ She seems like she would be entertaining ^^ (also I've always loved the name Keahi haha)

Her character bio is super interesting :U The biomechanical nature of her anatomy is fascinating and there's a lot of thought and detail put into it. I like her eyes and skeleton especially! Also her wolf/tiger-esque look is neat.

Gotta go with Lejule. I like the fact that he's a werewolf and he rides horses

and he has his own specialized vehicle, which is neat. His personality seems very heroic too.

On to some life updates, I'm going to be moving this week, and I don't know how that's going to impact my internet activity. I've been having a ton of trouble with the people next to me where I am, and it's honestly been kind of stressful. I've been tired a lot lately and maybe that's part of it, I don't know. Over the last week everyone was snowed in and the annoyance reached critical mass (if it hadn't earlier, I don't know). I'm just giving up on trying to deal with them entirely at this point. I'm done with hearing them (and their orgies) all the freaking time. They can't be reasoned with and do not care. Hopefully the new room will be a huge improvement; I know it seems promising! I'm super excited to be getting out of here. A little mad that I'm having to move because of them, but still.

Oh, I also have a question. Since I don't have polls right now, which character would you most like to see a finished reference for first? Out of this list: Feyrhynn, Tundra, Storm, Shadowfire, or Icefang? I'd like to make the refs similar to Rook's, thorough on visual design aspects. The probably won't have as detailed descriptions though. I just need to pick one and commit to it but I'm having a hard time doing that. No idea when it would actually get finished, but actually choosing one would help haha. I'm also kind of working at revamping Spoon a little, but that's an independent thing from the reference-making. I'd kind of like to make a new version of him with an alternate canon, to maybe explore the character more than I knew how to back in CC. I'll have to figure out a setting and ideally some kind of story (hardest part agh), which I currently only have vague ideas for. But I haven't done too much intensive brainstorming for that yet; I've been mainly focusing on other things. It's still an idea though and I may idly work on it a little bit for now.

Coyotes, though: I've recently been having some success with a trailcam I set up back home! I don't want to bombard everyone with grainy sometimes motion-blurry IR photos but I do want to share a few :> I'm so excited about getting these haha. We have a few that live around the area but before putting up this camera I'd only seen them twice, one right on the end of summer break and one on new year's eve. I've definitely heard them a lot though.
I think this is the best sound recording I have (you can hear one of my dogs in the background haha): soundcloud.com/canis-ferox/coy… (sorry the first four seconds are loud and the footstep sounds are terrible. there was a lot of frost).

This shot shows three coyotes together, which so far seems to be the number of the group, in that I still haven't seen more than three at a time. It seems consistent with the sound of them but then coyotes are notorious for being able to disguise their numbers in their songs haha. One of the many reasons why they're neat :>

They can hear the camera, but the flash is infrared and can't be seen. They seem to be getting used to the sounds because I've had a lot of luck with the camera placement (after the first couple of weeks where all I saw was deer. I have a lot of shots of deer).
