A much younger Rook... in his 30s I guess? I was originally aiming to draw him younger but that was what the sketch started looking like, so I just went with it. This would have been when he was in probably the best standing (or around that time anyway) with the criminal organization he was with. I'm thinking it was an international European type deal (with lots of trade/acquisition/distribution of illegal goods), but I've yet to 100% decide what country it was based in. I used to want to say Italy but maybe that's just because it's the go-to one; there are probably better locations that would be interesting as well. Of course more research of real-world criminal operations is needed, but figuring out details of characters' backstories can be so much fun. : D

This was a spring break sketch too and actually I think the first I colored when I got back, I just wanted to upload owed art first then forgot to upload this. I have to say, I really love this one. Maybe it's the color palette, I really like all these colors together. Need to use stronger colors more often.
