jkhsdf. Was supposed to just be a quick study in grayscale painting with some color thrown on afterwards. I don't really think it was successful at all as what I wanted it to be, but I turned it into a whole thing because otherwise I just wasted way too much time on this. x'D That glove probably doesn't look nearly enough like it has a skeleton-like metal hand under it. But then I wasn't really sure what that would look like (not sure enough to draw it anyway). I could name a lot of things I should have done differently.... definitely not looking for critique here, ha. I have mixed feelings on the outcome of this to be honest; there's something I like about it but then all the mistakes agh. Failed (?) experiments are worth sharing too though, right? : D
Either way, it was nice to draw Aureus again.
The background is completely just a blurred-out photo with some slight color modification. I did want to do a series of character images based on or including photos I've taken in various places for practice, so I guess this could count as a start?
