I fail. Seriously, I think when I finish this batch of owed art I'm taking some time off of trades and whatnot; I've just gotten worse and worse with them. This one is 
's awesome character Anhell. I don't know how many times I made concept sketches for this trade until I started this rather accidentally while messing around with different techniques. It's got a long way to go, but it's a start. I'm trying out painting in grayscale then going over it in color later. I'm thinking of maybe having it as a night scene with some lights in the background, something like will-o'-the-wisps/ignis fatuus perhaps because I love those. And I'm not sure if the character still looks too wolf-like rather than dog-like, so I may mess around with that some more.
